Improvisation, the most widely practiced af all musical activities is, unfortunately, the least acknowledged and understood. But there is not a single field in music that has remained unaffected by improvisation, a single musical technique or form of composition that did not originate in improvisatory practice. The whole history of the development of music is accompanied by manifestations of the drive to improvise.
In this workshop we will explore the improvisational element in living musical practice on an energetic and perceptual level. We will not be approaching any specific improvisational language, but will be exploring ways to develop one's own expressive voice and musical imagination.
This workshop will enhange and bring new life to any mode of musical practice.
